2026 Protecting the Transaction Legal Summit

APRO, the trade association for the rent-to-own industry, is pleased to again offer the Protecting the Transaction Legal Summit to bring together industry leaders, legal professionals, compliance officers, and business owners and executives in the RTO and VRTO/VLTO space.

Now in its third year, the Protecting the Transaction Legal Summit is the industry’s premier gathering for legal and compliance professionals across the full spectrum of rent-to-own. This year’s summit takes a deliberate step forward, expanding beyond legal updates into the harder and more consequential conversation: what the industry owes itself in the form of best practices and self-regulation, and what it looks like to build those standards with intention rather than wait for them to be imposed from outside.

Step 1: Your Contact Information. You DO NOT need to login, simply enter your email address in the Your Contact Information section below and click “GO” to find your profile match. Your first and last name will appear followed by a message that your membership or contact info has been confirmed or matched. If you have more than one email address on file, please try each one to find your contact information (if applicable). If you are not in our database you will have the option to add your information. Once your record is located or you have added your new information, click “CONTINUE”. 

Step 2: Registration Options. Click the "+" button next to registration option to proceed with completing registration details in the Attendees section. Increase or decrease the number of registrations by clicking on the "-/+" " button.

Step 3: Registration Information. Choose yourself under <Who is the Attendee> or someone else if you are registering another person. Answer each question as requested. If information is required there will be a red line to the right of the field. You must enter information in that field. You will not be able to register until all required fields with a red line have been filled out. 

Click “CONTINUE” 

Step 4: Complete Registration. Input your payment information and click “Pay Now”

By registering for this event, I consent and authorize the Association of Professional Rental Organizations (APRO) or any entity authorized by APRO to copyright, use and publish any of the images in any format taken of me during the conference. I understand these images may be used for various purposes and may appear on APRO’s website RTOHQ.org, APRO Today eNewsletter, RTOHQ: The Magazine, promotional materials, or any other media now known or to be invented. I also understand that APRO or any entity authorized by APRO will use the images exclusively for APRO-related purposes and not for commercial gain. Since anyone can download an image from the Internet or make copies from printed materials, I agree that APRO is not responsible for the unauthorized use of the images. I know that I am not entitled to compensation and that the images may appear with or without my name. I waive the right to approve the final product. I agree that all such portraits, pictures, photographs, video and audio recordings, and any reproductions thereof, and all plates, negatives, recording tape, and digital files are and shall remain the property of APRO.
